Its time for another Daily Scholarship and Financial Aid Tip in about two minutes, by JR The College Money Man

This is episode 35 and today we are talking about How to find additional financial aid if you are disabled

If you are differently abled in this country, life can be tough just to get around. Many families are shouldering large medical bills or high insurance premiums on top of daily expenses, which lowers available money for college savings. However, those that are differently abled are in luck. Federal and state governments have in interest in ensuring a healthy workforce and therefore fund programs just for the differently abled. Students should check with their states’ Department or Division of Rehabilitation, or similar government body. States are often given large block grants to fund educational services for the differently abled. For example, one of the programs in the state of Illinois funds everything from tuition, fees, to books and housing for those that qualify. So don’t let a disability stand in the way of you or your child’s education.
